What's it all about?

I live in Werribee Victoria, Australia, it is a large satellite type city that is in the fastest growth corridor west of Melbourne. It has a broad socioeconomic diversity and as a result a real need for people to be able to produce some of their own food, that’s where I come in. I am a qualified Nurseryman (Horticulture) and have been growing my own food for the past 30 years and have become a very passionate educator about all things Horticulture and love teaching others how to grow their own food. I believe that future of our food security is in our own backyards and I want to help as many people as I can to become as self sufficient as they can be. I conduct workshops on a regular basis teaching a wide variety of topics, Keeping Healthy chickens, Landscaping with fruit and Veggies, Companion Planting, Harvesting and Preserving, Managing Fruit trees, Grafting and Pruning, Garden Design,Worm farming, Aquaponics, Making Cheese, Making Sausages/salami/chorizo etc, Most of these workshops are very much hands on and we include a cooked lunch on the day of course with home grown produce, however we have just started with live webinars with in these topics so that others that cannot make the trip to Werribee get the opportunity as well and of course it is very much cheaper.
